Ohio EPA Encouraging Participation in “Ohio Materials Marketplace”
Director Craig Butler invited Ohio businesses and organizations to join the Ohio Materials Marketplace for advertising and acquiring potentially useful products and materials otherwise bound for landfills.
"Ohio businesses diverted 3.5 million pounds of 'waste material' from landfills this year as a result of exchanges on our marketplace, saving businesses an estimated $200,000 in disposal costs," Director Butler said. "I encourage large and small businesses and organizations throughout Ohio to join this free service. It makes good business sense and represents a new way of thinking about how we can reuse materials that might otherwise be thrown away in landfills."
More than 750 businesses have signed up for the service, and items exchanged this year include wood pallets, plastic and steel storage containers or drums, expanded polypropylene packaging, spent lime and industrial machinery, OEPA said.

OCA Convention in the Riviera Maya – Passport Check
This is just a reminder that if you are planning on attending the convention, you should make sure that your passport does not expire within six months of travel. Most travel websites say that Mexico follows this six-month policy, so just to be sure, you should check your passport. Contact Rachel Sirca with questions.
