Seeking Topics for Breakout Sessions at Conaway Conference
The afternoon of the first day of the Conaway Conference (February 26 next year) has traditionally had a number of breakout sessions on topics that are a little more specific to various sections of the industry. OCA Convention in Riviera Maya
We would like to request that reservations for the convention be complete by the end of November if possible. We will continue to take reservations after that date if the rooms are available or until we reach our cutoff date with the hotel of January 14. As of the printing of this newsletter, there are no Signature Casita Suites available (this is an upgrade and not a part of our main contract). Our contracted rooms, Signature Casitas, are available. Final payment must be made by November 30 or full payment if you reserve after November 30, due to payments OCA must make to the hotel and our travel partner. Contact Rachel Sirca with questions.
Prizes during the Reception at Winter Conference
Are You Giving Away a Prize? At the conclusion of the winter conference casino and reception (6:30 pm on Monday, Dec. 3), four winning tickets will be drawn. Each winner will receive $500! You must be present to win. If you are an exhibitor and are giving away a gift or prize, please see Rachel Sirca or Emily Radebaugh at the conference if you would like to announce your winner at the same time.
OCA Winter Conference Keynote Speaker Michael Rogers, Author, Technology Pioneer and Futurist
Michael Rogers most recently served as futurist-in-residence for The New York Times. He has worked with companies ranging from FedEx, Boeing and NBCUniversal to Microsoft, Pfizer and Siemens, focusing on how companies can think about the future in useful ways. He speaks to audiences worldwide and is a regular guest on radio and television. Rogers began his career as a writer for Rolling Stone magazine. He co-founded Outside magazine and then launched Newsweek’s technology column, winning numerous journalism awards. For ten years he was vice president of The Washington Post Company's new media division, leading both the newspaper and Newsweek into the new century and earning patents for multimedia technology. He is also a best-selling novelist whose books have been published worldwide, chosen for the Book-of-the-Month club and optioned for film. Rogers studied physics and creative writing at Stanford University, with additional studies in finance and management at the Stanford Business School Executive Program. He lives in New York City and is currently working on book and television projects.
