ODOT to Hold Additional CRL Training Classes
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is hosting several Civil Rights Labor (CRL) management software training classes throughout the state. The workshops will assist contractors on how to utilize CRL software including certified payrolls uploads, prompt payment and on the job training confirmation. You are only required to attend one (3) Hour Training session. If you attended Spring/Summer 2017 Sessions you do not need to attend.

OCA Convention in Hawaii – Deadline Approaching!
No upgrades available. The deadline to register for the OCA 97th Annual Convention in Kaua’i, Hawaii, is December 1. Please don’t delay as our resort needs this information! Need Professional Development Hours for CPESC or CESSWI?
George J. Igel Co., Inc. will be hosting a class instructed by OCA member Coyle SWPPP Professionals. Attendees will be awarded with six hours of Professional Development for attending. Free Compliance Seminar at ODOT on December 11, 2017
The US Department of Labor (DOL) in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Transportation will be hosting a FREE compliance seminar to increase employer’s understanding of how to comply with the Davis Bacon & Related Acts (DBRA), Contract Work Hours Safety Standards Act (CWHSSA) & the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The seminar is for business owners, managers, HR & payroll professionals as well as employees. Investigators from DOL Wage & Hour Division will present the latest information on the DBRA, CWHSSA & FLSA. Topics include; prevailing wage obligations, fringe benefits payment, issues with hours worked, overtime pay, record keeping requirements, child labor and enforcement.
