Ohio Contractors Association - Overview


Ohio’s public works infrastructure system is a massive, diverse and high specialized industry in which to do business.

Established in 1918, OCA currently serves some 500 member firms who rely on OCA to navigate a complex business landscape.

 

OCA provides a powerful resource for advice and gives a voice to the heavy, highway and utility construction industries in Ohio, with invaluable staff expertise in:

·        Legislative & Environmental Affairs

·        Public Agencies – including ODOT

·        General and industry-specific Labor & Employment Law

·        Safety-focused advocacy and Education

 

OCA facilitates industry collaboration at the local level through its network of nine OCA chapters.

 

OCA draws the industry together to create and strengthens relationships through industry specific educational programs and events.

The Association is governed by a 25 member Board of Directors, and is member-driven through its committee structure.

 

OCA is affiliated nationally with the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC); these two organization take the voice of the industry to Washington DC.
