David Finley, aka the Ohio Highway Guy, began his travels on behalf of the industry in February 2007 in OCA’s 30-foot Construction Career Mobile.  The Career Mobile features videos produced for the Operating Engineers and Laborers crafts as well as the OCA “Constructing Your Career” video.  David also distributes a wide variety of brochures and printed materials about the industry and career opportunities.  Thus far he has visited approximately 90 high schools, vocational schools and career fairs.  He has met with over 480 guidance counselors and has made presentations to more than 5,000 students. Response to the Ohio Highway Guy program has been overwhelming and David is now booked two to three months in advance with schools eager to hear his message.
