OCA Submits Comments to DOL on Davis-Bacon Change Proposals

Recently, Mark Potnick, OCA’s Director of Labor Relations submitted comments to the U.S. Department of Labor in opposition of their proposals to change applications of Davis-Bacon wage requirements. The proposals would expand requirements for paying federal prevailing wages to areas not included in the long history of Davis-Bacon wage regulations. Expanding Davis-Bacon wage requirements beyond their original intended scope is not good policy, especially at a time when contractors are facing extreme material cost increases and inflation is rampant. This unwarranted change would only add to the inflationary woes of our industry and the general economy. For a copy of OCA’s comments, please click HERE.
