This afternoon, OCA President Chris Runyan was contacted by ODOT with the following email from Dave Slatzer, Assistant Director and Chief Engineer of ODOT:

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Josh Bowman, P.E. has agreed to serve as the next Deputy Director of the Division of Construction Management. He will begin his new role on October 12th. Josh is currently serving as the District Construction Engineer in District 7. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. Josh began his career with ODOT as a summer intern while attending college. He was hired full time as an EIT in 2002 immediately after graduation. During his 20+ year tenure in District 7 Josh has been involved in several very large and complex construction projects on I-75 within the City Limits of Dayton. His experience in District 7 will no doubt be invaluable in his new role.

“As I have gotten to know Josh in my 7+ years in Central Office, I have always been impressed with his professionalism, work ethic and commitment to moving the department forward. Please join me in congratulating Josh on his appointment. Director Marchbanks and I are confident that he will excel in his new role.”
