ARTBA Leadership Development Program

ARTBA’s Industry Leadership Development Program (ILDP), once known as the Young Executive Development Program (YEDP), has for more than 25 years provided rising leaders in the transportation construction and development sector with a solid understanding of:

• Industry economics;

• How transportation work in the U.S. is funded and financed;

• How actions by the federal government impact the industry; and

• How they—and their company or agency—can become politically engaged to help shape transportation policy.

Over two days, the ILDP will focus on implementation of the landmark infrastructure law, industry economics and current market conditions, and how U.S. transportation work is funded and financed. It will also include a popular and interactive session with industry C-suite executives offering career advice.

Nearly 800 professionals from over 200 industry firms, state contractor chapters and public agencies, including OCA President Chris Runyan, have completed the program. Many of them have become active volunteer leaders through the Industry Leader Development Council.

The ILDP is held annually each spring in conjunction with ARTBA’s Federal Issues Program and Transportation Construction Coalition Washington Fly-In. Participants use the opportunity to meet with their members of Congress and staffs about pending federal transportation policy and regulatory issues.

Nomination forms are now being accepted through April 7th and can be found in the “Leadership Development” section of www.artbafoundation.org. Contact Nick Goldstein at [email protected] or (202) 683-1005 with questions. Thanks for your engagement with the 2023 ILDP!
