Labor and employment issues are critical in the highway/heavy industry, and expert counsel in this area can be expensive.
OCA represents all contractors in the industry - union and non-union, large shops and small shops - as a resource of expert assistance with labor and employment issues. Help with interpretation of federal and state regulations, collective bargaining agreement administration, employee grievances and arbitration issues, and pre-job planning and scheduling is just a phone call away for OCA members.
OCA union members qualify for a complimentary membership in the Labor Relations Division (LRD), which leads the way for heavy/highway contractors in Ohio by negotiating fair, stable and workable collective bargaining agreements with the construction trade unions. Membership in the LRD not only makes members eligible to participate in labor negotiations, but also because strong support for the LRD brings the strength and conviction of numbers to the bargaining table.
