WTS Columbus Scholarship Announcement 2019-2020

WTS Columbus Chapter announces Scholarships available for Ohio Women interested in Transportation Careers. The WTS Columbus Chapter is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for qualified female students interested in pursuing careers in transportation. Chapter-level scholarships total $10,600 this year. Local (Ohio-based) awardees are eligible to compete with other states’ winners for $22,000 in WTS national-level scholarships.

The Columbus Chapter will be accepting applications for the following four scholarships through Friday November 15th, 2019.

Undergraduate:

WTS Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates - Application
Local Columbus Chapter award $3,000, international award $5,000

WTS Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduates - Application
Local Columbus Chapter award $2,000, international award $5,000

Graduate:

WTS Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship for Graduates  - Application
Local Columbus Chapter award $3,600, international award $10,000

WTS Maggie Walsh Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates - Application
Local Columbus Chapter award $2,000, international award $5,000

Note: Individual graduate candidates are encouraged to apply for both scholarships.

Additional information for each scholarship can be found in the attached application packets. All applicants must be female, Ohio based, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and be planning to pursue a career in transportation. BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicities) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Note to Freshmen: Undergraduates and Community College students are not able to apply unless they have completed at least one semester and have grades available by the November 15th, 2019 deadline.
