Inflation Reduction Act Seminar

The Inflation Reduction Act for Builders and Contractors (Free Zoom Seminar)

Labor attorney Andy Martone (an OCA associate member) will be hosting a free webinar for OCA members on the subject of the Inflation Reduction Act and the obligations that it imposes on contractors and subcontractors working on renewable energy projects. This seminar will take place on February 22 @ 10AM via Zoom.

The newly passed Inflation Reduction Act includes substantial tax breaks for the owners of renewable energy projects - if they are constructed (and operated) as required by the IRA.

From the contractor and subcontractors' points of view, this means complying with a set of prevailing wage requirements similar - but not identical to - Davis Bacon requirements. It also means either complying with or being able to prove good faith efforts to comply with substantial apprenticeship requirements.

This members-only free webinar includes an ongoing Q & A.

If you would like to register and be provided with the Zoom link, please email Andy at [email protected].

     2023 Conaway Conference Sponsorships

For the last few years, we have offered sponsorship opportunities to help support the Conaway Conference and to keep registration fees down. We haven’t done much outside of advertising in the newsletter and putting it on the Conaway Conference registration page. So this year, we’d like to get a few more sponsors as we are taking on some more costs of putting on the conference.

Sponsors will have their company names and logos in our program (if received by February 22), on the introductory screen before the opening session, and in between sessions. It’s a great way to be noticed by ODOT and OCA members.
